Cinnamon Crumble Mug Cake

Need a quick and easy dessert recipe to satisfy your sweet tooth? This warm cinnamon mug cake is calling your name! And did I mention that it's mess free?! Yield: 1 serving You will need: Cake: -3 tablespoons gluten-free flour mix -A dash of vanilla -A dash of cinnamon -1/4 teaspoon baking powder -1 tablespoon coconut sugar -1 1/2 tablespoons water -2 tablespoons melted coconut oil (or some mashed banana/apple sauce for s fat free version) -1 tablespoon carob chips (optional) Crumble Topping: -1/2 tablespoon melted coconut oil -1 1/2 tablespoons coconut sugar -A dash of cinnamon -1 tablespoon chopped nuts (or oats for fat free) Directions: 1. Mix all the cake ingredients together and pourin a microwaveable mug 2. Mix the crumble ingredients together and pour over the cake 3. Bake in the microwave for 1 minute and voila! Cake for one!

*Simple Carob Nicecream

Banana nicecream was the perfect addition to tonight's dinner👍. It's almost like getting a frosty from Wendy's to add to your meal, yet much healthier and fat free. I won't say no to that! Yield: 1 serving You will need: -5 frozen bananas -1 heaping tablespoon of raw carob powder -Toppings: date caramel sauce, banana, chopped dates Direction: Blend all the ingredients together and top with your favorite toppings!

*Banana Nicecream With A Cocoa Hemp Swirl

Thought I'd bust out my Yonanas machine this Sunday morning to make a nicecream concoction. I love it because it is kid friendly and Zayn loves helping. I paired this with a slice of my raw brownie cheesecake. Mmmmmm Yield: 1 serving You will need: -4 frozen bananas -1 tablespoon cocoa -3 tablespoons hemp milk (any milk) -Toppings: strawberries, carob chips Directions: 1. Make the cocoa hemp swirl by mixing the cocoa with the milk and setting aside 2. Using your Yonana machine, push through the frozen bananas and pour a little of the cocoa hemp mix after each banana is pushed through so that it is incorporated throughout *You can also just swirl in the cocoa hemp mix afterwards yourself by pouring it over the banana nicecream and swirling it through with a spoon 3. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy! *Use a blender if you do not have a Yonana machine

*Blueberry Pineapple Smoothie

Smoothie time again this morning! Did not feel like bananas so I combined the tropical flavors of pineapple and berries in this one. I honestly think that when you're so busy, especially in the morning, a smoothie is such a great meal on the go, filled with the all the colors of the rainbow and antioxidants of pure goodness for your body. Yield: 1 serving You will need: -1/4 pineapple -2 cups frozen blueberries -2 cups spinach -1 cup water Directions: Blend all the ingredients together and enjoy!

Pineapple Cantaloupe Salad

Breakfast is prepped! 😊 Made a quick fruit bowl of whatever fruit I had at home. I must say... it was a success! Dont be afraid of being creative and throwing whatever fruit you have together! Yield: 1 serving You will need: -1 chopped up cantaloupe -1 chopped up pineapple Dressing: -1 tablespoon ground flax seed -1 tablespoon ground chia seed -1 tablespoon raisins -1 tablespoon shredded coconut -1/2 tablespoon hemp seed -5-6 tablespoons water Directions: 1. Mix all the dressing ingredients and set aside to gel 2. Mix the salad ingredients together 3. Top with topped with the dressing and enjoy!

Quinoa Chocolate Timbits

Growing up, I used to love the chocolate timbits covered with coconut from Tim Hortons. They were truly the inspiration for these little gems. I can't wait to make them again because they were so delicious! Yield: 8-10 balls You will nerd: -1-1 1/2 cup cooked quinoa -1 tablespoon cocoa -2 tablespoons Tahini -1/2 tablespoon maple syrup  (sweetener of choice) -A dash of cinnamon -1/4 cup shredded coconut Directions: 1. Mix all the ingredients together except for the coconut 2. Roll the ball in the coconut 3. Place in fridge for at least 30 minutes to harden and enjoy!

Apple Quinoa Crumble

This is my take on a healthier apple crumble. I enjoy the nuttiness of crumble toppings and usually try to save that till the end. With this crumble you don't have to feel guilty even if you ate the whole thing. I enjoy this at any time of the day too :) Yield: Enough for 2 You will need: -2/3 cup water -1/4 cup raw quinoa -1 tablespoon maple syrup -1 teaspoon vanilla -1/2 teaspoon cinnamon  -1 Apple (chopped) Crumble Topping: -2 tablespoons quinoa flakes or oats -1 teaspoon maple syrup -2 tablespoons chopped pecans -1 tablespoon raisins -1/2 teaspoon cinnamon  -1 tablespoon melted coconut oil Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350F 2. Lightly oil a small casserole dish 3. Place all the ingredients in the casserole dish and mix 4. Place in the oven with the dish covered for 30 minutes 5. Blueberry Morning Smoothie

This was my breakfast and I just couldnt wait to share it with you. I had both cups too! Its definitely the sesson for blueberries and you can get them for such a good deal right now! Enjoy all the summer fruit before winter starts rolling in :). Yield: 1 serving You will need: -1 tablespoon chia seeds -2 tablespoons quinoa flakes -1 cup almond milk (or any milk) -1/2 teaspoon vanilla -1 tablespoon protein powder -1/2 cup blueberries Directions: 1. Mix all the ingredients together and place in fridge overnight 2. In the morning, add the blueberries and blend. Enjoy! 

Papaya Kiwi Quinoa Salad

Ever in the need of a delicious meal to take to a potluck? This salad is one of my go to salads that is always a hit with any gathering. I love the flavor of the dressing and the punch of flavor from the papaya seeds. They're very strong in flavour and a little goes a long way. I hope you enjoy this salad as much as me! Yield: Enough for dinner! You will need: Salad: -2 cups cooked quinoa (cooled) -1/2 papaya (chopped in small cubes) -2 kiwis (cut in small cubes) -1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans Dressing: -1/4 cup papaya seeds -1/2 teaspoon mustard seed -1 garlic clove -Juice of 2 lemons -1 tablespoon lemon rind -1 teaspoon sweetener (maple syrup, agave, coconut sugar, etc) -1 tablespoon coconut oil Directions: 1. Mix all the salad ingredients and set aside in the fridge 2. Blend all the dressing ingredients together and pour over the salad 3. Let the salad sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to help the flavors soak in

Banana Cream Pie

Banana cream pie made by me! Looks delicious and drizzled with a homemade chocolate sauce and a little spoon of peanut butter. Such a great treat before a busy day! Yield: 1 pie You will need: Crust: -1/2 cup dates (soaked in 1/2 cup water) -1/2 cup quinoa flakes -1/4 cup cocoa -A dash of cinnamon -A dash of vanilla -1/4 cup ground flax seed Banana Cream Layer: -1/2 cup coconut milk (any milk) -4 bananas -A dash of vanilla Directions: 1. Pulse all the crust ingredients in a food processor until dough forms and press into lined pan 2. Blend the banana cream layer and pour over crust 3. Place in freezer for 3-4 hours and enjoy!

Raw Carrot Salad

What's for brunch? A raw carrot cake or possibly a carrot salad? So refreshing and a wonderful way to embrace the summer! Pair it with a smoothie and you're set! Yield: 1 serving You will need: -2-3 shredded carrots -A dash of cinnamon -2 tablespoons shredded coconut -2 tablespoons raisins -3 chopped dates -2 tablespoons agave or maple syrup -1 tablespoon chia seed Directions: Mix all the ingredients together and have it sit for at least 30 minutes so that the chia seeds have gelled a bit. Multi-flavoured Yogurt Oat Balls

I made 10 different flavours of these great versatile raw snacks and froze them for an "on-the-go" snack. I bet I could have dreamt up 50 more flavours... so I stopped myself at 10 lol :) Yield: 3 balls for each base recipe You will need: Base: -4 Tablespoons oatflour -A dash of cinnamon -1/2 teaspoon vanilla -1 teaspoon agave/maple syrup -2 tablespoons almond yogurt -1/2 tablespoon shredded coconut 10 Flavor Add-In Options: 1) chocolate- add 2 tablespoons of chocolate sauce made by adding water to cocoa; 2) lemon- add the zest of 1 lemon and juice of 1/2 a lemon; 3) carob- add 2 tablespoons of carob sauce made by just adding water to carob; 4) dates- add 2 cut up dates that were soaking in water for 15 min; 5) pumpkin- add 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée, pumpkin spice, 1 tablespoon raisins; 6) green tea- add 2 tablespooms green tea sauce by mixing matcha powder with water; 7) peanut butter- add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter; 8) chocolate peanut butter- add

Overnight Nutty Banana Smoothie

There's something about the combination of peanut butter and banana that really fills my heart with joy... So imagine waking up to this beauty! I think I ate it in less than a minute! Yield: 1 smoothie You will need: -1 cup almond milk (any milk) -2 tablespoons oat flour -1 tablespoon raisins -1/2 teaspoon vanilla -1 tablespoon nut butter (or chopped walnuts!) -A dash of cinnamon Directions: 1. At night, mix all the ingredients together and place in the fridge 2. Blend the mixture in the morning and top with whatever you desire (I used shredded coconut and Carob chips)

Banana Nut Leftover Quinoa Bowl

I love making desserts with quinoa. This bowl right here was just a mixture of all my favorite things. Once you heat it up, it's like magic in your mouth. You'll haveto make it to understand what I mean! Lol Yield: 1 serving You will need: -1 cup cooked quinoa -1/2 chopped Apple -1 mashed banana -A dash of cinnamon -1/2 tablespoon shredded coconut -1 tablespoon raisins -1/2 tablespoon hemp seed -2 tablespoons chocolate peanut butter powder (or regular peanut butter with 1/2 tablespoon cocoa mixed in) Directions: 1. Mix all the ingredients together, except for the peanut butter 2. Cook in the microwave for 45-60seconds 3. Top with the peanut butter and enjoy!

Banana Nicecream With A Seed Icing

I don't think I can ever get sick of nicecream. It's like having a frosty from Wendy's every morning and never feeling guilty! (May I add... it's like 5 times the size of a frosty and can essentially be fat free!) Loved the icing combo on this one so I couldn't wait to share! Yield: 1 serving You will need: Nicecream: -5 frozen bananas -A dash of cinnamon  Icing: -1/2 tablespoon chia seed -1/2 tablespoon flax seed -1/2 tablespoon shredded coconut -1 tablespoon raisins Directions: 1. Mix all the ingredients for the icing together with 3 tablespoons of water and set aside to gel 2. Blend the cinnamon and bananas together to make the nicecream and top it with the icing once it has gelled together. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter and Jam Oatmeal

I love oatmeal so much that I eat it for lunch and dinner too. It's so filling and you can play around with the flavours every time. Here I put together a simple bowl of oats with the flavours of a peanut butter and jam sandwich. Takes me back to my childhood :) I hope you enjoy! Yield: 1 serving You will need: -1/2 cup uncooked gluten free rolled oats -1 cup water -1 teaspoon cinnamon -Toppings: 2-3 tablespoons peanut butter, sliced strawberries, 1 tablespoon coconut sugar Directions: 1. Cook the oats according to package. I cook 1/2 cup of oats in 1 cup of water with some cinnamon for 2-3 minutes  (until water is almost fully absorbed) 2. Top your bowl of oats with your favorite toppings!

Oat Thumbprint Cookies

There's something about thumbprint cookies that is so appealing to me. I love them and they remind me of my childhood... So if I ever get a chance to replicate them with a healthier twist, I will! These turned out delish! Yield: 10 Cookies You will need: -1 cup oat flour -1 cup gluten free flour mix (almond flour will work too) -3/4 cup hemp seeds -A dash of cinnamon -3 tablespoons coconut oil (about 1/4 cup) -1/4 cup maple syrup -1/4 cup date caramel (dates soaked in water and blended to make a caramel sauce) -Filling: date caramel/chia jam/regular fruit jam Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350F 2. Using a food processor, mix all the ingredients together until it becomes like a dough 3. Roll into balls and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet 4. Press your thumb slightly in the middle of each cookie and place in the oven to bake for 20 minutes (until it starts to brown lightly on the bottom edge) 5. Remove from oven and turn off the oven. Tropical Fruit Salad

Sometimes when I have tons of fruit staring at me in my fridge, I'll put together a fruit salad. I love the textures of the different fruits and how their juices just blend together to create a sweet dressing of their own. I created this salad one morning and was quite the hit. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did! Yield: 1 serving You will need: -1/2 chopped up papaya -1/2 chopped up honeydew  -1/2 chopped up pineapple -1/4 cup raisins -1 tablespoon shredded coconut -1/2 teaspoon cinnamon -1 tablespoon hemp seeds Directions: Mix all the ingredients together and enjoy! I topped mine with some vanilla almond yogurt

Leftover Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

Do you ever have leftover quinoa sitting in your fridge? I usually make more than we need for dinner time and with the leftovers, I love creating something that's on the sweeter side. I find that quinoa is so versatile and it can be used in desserts quite easily. This is sort of a take on oatmeal and has all the flavors that will warm your belly in the morning! Yield: 1 serving You will need: -1/2 cup quinoa (or any leftover grain) -1/2 chopped up Apple -1/2 cup almond milk (or any milk) -1/2 tablespoon maple syrup -1/2 tablespoon coconut butter -1/2 teaspoon cinnamon -1 tablespoon raisins -1/2 mashed banana Directions: 1. Place all the ingredients in a pot and bring it to a boil. Allow to simmer for a couple minutes  2. Eat it as is or top it with anything you like! (I used shredded coconut and hemp seeds)
